Suze Orman, the financial expert, author and motivational expert, recently appeared on Oprah to help kick off Oprah’s 2009, "Live Your Best Life" segments. Of course she had much to say to the audience on how to take control of their finances during the recession and economic hardships that we are facing globally. In brief she has a 5-Step plan to help people:
Step 1: Pay Off Your Credit Card Debt (I have created a worksheet to eliminate ALL credit card and old debt by year’s end)
Step 2: Raise Your FICO Score (I enrolled in Bank of America Privacy Assist)
Step 3: Create a Spending Action Plan (I created a budget that will be reviewed every 90 days for updated/changes)
Step 4: Create a Savings Action Plan (Included with the budget and broken down into several categories)
Step 5: Create a Retirement Action Plan (I have a 401K but I need to review my fund allocations)
The two best things about her appearance on the show were the free book and free money offers. Suze’s latest book,“Suze Orman’s 2009 Action Plan” is being offered for free on The Oprah Winfrey Show website. The second FREE offer is from Suze’s “SAVE Yourself” partnership with TD Ameritrade. All you have to do is open a savings account with TD Ameritrade and commit to saving $100.00 a month for 12 consecutive months via automatic withdrawals. On the 13th month they will deposit $100.00 into your savings account. As a bonus you will also get FREE online access to another one of Suze’s books, “Women & Money".
So here’s what you get...a free $100.00 deposit and two free books. You can’t beat that with a stick!!
I opened my savings account in early 2008 when she initially began promoting the Save Yourself program. I printed my copy of the new book today, what are you waiting on?? IT’S FREE!!
